Why Companies Choose Rise Air
1. The Largest & Most Versatile Fixed‑Wing Fleet in Saskatchewan
No matter what your project requires—access to remote strips, short gravel runways, frequent crew rotations, or the flexibility of mixed cargo and passenger loads—we offer competitive solutions designed to reliably support your organization's objectives. Our fleet includes 26 aircraft, starting with the largest: the ATR 72-600, 68-seat planes equipped with advanced technology, comfort, and performance features.
We also operate its smaller counterpart, the ATR 42-500 and 300 series, which seats 44 passengers. The versatile Beechcraft 1900D accommodates up to 19 passengers.
For missions demanding adaptability, the legendary 14-seat De Haviland Twin Otter can quickly switch between carrying mixed loads or converting from full cargo to passenger configurations with just a two-person crew, and it excels on wheels, floats, or skis.
Additionally, our Beechcraft King Air and Pilatus PC-12 models offer comfortable, high-performance travel options with 8 and 9 seats, respectively, in commuter configurations.
These fleet options provide you with the flexibility to scale travel for small teams or large workforce cycles.
2. Purpose‑Built for the North

Northern Expertise Meets Full‑Service Capability
Rise Air offers something unique: a 100 per cent Indigenous-owned airline built on safety, service, and decades of operational experience across the north.
That means:
- A company that understands the needs of a customer and the lived experience of life in the north
- Operational bases closer to your sites staffed by community members
- Better response times
- Pilots with deep northern flying experience
- Knowledge of northern weather systems, terrain, and seasonal challenges
- Strong relationships with northern communities, industry leaders, and local partners
The Rise Air Strategic Advantage
With many customers contracting us for more than 30 years each, there must be a reason that organizations want to partner with Rise Air.
- Proximity & accessibility: Unlike operators based outside of the north, we are already here, our existing bases from Saskatoon all the way up to Fond du Lac.
- Fleet versatility: Competitors often specialize in either small planes with six seats or large aircraft which are too big and expensive for exploration jobs — Rise Air's diverse fleet provides "right-fit" options for our customers.
- Indigenous ownership: Rise Air is 100 per cent Indigenous-owned, which means that contracting with Rise Air is a significant commitment to meaningful economic and social reconciliation.
- Experience serving remote mines: Decades of operational history transporting crews into northern uranium, precious metal, and energy sites.
- Full-service ecosystem: Through Snowbird Aviation Services, customers also benefit from ground handling, fuelling, logistics, de‑icing, and cargo support.
