Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Doug Burnett served as President and CEO of SaskTel from 2019 until his retirement in 2024. Prior to this appointment, he was Acting President and CEO of SaskTel, and also served as Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services and President of SaskTel International. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan, and the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. He is a lawyer in the province of Saskatchewan and serves on the board of the Wicihitowin Foundation. Prior to his retirement, Doug served on numerous other boards, including SecurTek, Directwest, SaskTel International and Junior Achievement. He also served as a member of the University of Regina Leaders Council.
