Winter Clothing

Scheduled Service Passengers.

As we approach winter and the cold weather conditions across Saskatchewan, we kindly request that all passengers wear suitable clothing before boarding our aircraft. Your safety is our top priority.

If you are not dressed in clothing considered warm enough, Rise Air reserves the right to deny boarding. Please pay close attention to the instructions provided by our Snowbird colleagues at check-ins and onboard the aircraft.

Here are some tips for dressing appropriately:
Layer Your Clothing: This will allow you to adjust your layers to maintain comfort.
Choose Warm, Waterproof Apparel: This helps shield you from the cold and wind.
Wear Accessories: A hat, gloves, and scarf will keep your head, hands, and neck warm.
Opt for Sturdy, Waterproof Footwear: This keeps your feet dry and reduces the risk of slipping.

Please be prepared for possible delays or cancellations, as extreme cold can impact flight schedules. Ensure you have any necessary medication with you.

Right to Refuse Boarding:
All airlines reserve the right to deny boarding to passengers not dressed appropriately for the conditions. This is to ensure the safety of everyone on the flight.

We recommend arriving early for your flight if you are uncertain about your attire. Should you be denied boarding, you'll have the opportunity to change before your flight. However, we will not delay a scheduled departure for passengers needing to alter their clothing.

Safety First.

For workforce transportation customers, please follow the instructions provided by your employer.

Temporary Fuel Surcharge Increase
Temporary Fuel Surcharge Adjustment

There is significant volatility in aviation fuel prices due to global supply disruptions. In the first 3 weeks of the conflict in the Middle East, where a significant proportion of the world’s aviation fuel supply originates, the price of jet fuel jumped by 68%.

These are external factors that are not within the control of Rise Air.

Over many years, Rise Air has absorbed incremental increases in fuel and other external operating costs without passing those increases on to customers.
However, the recent and rapid escalation in fuel prices has reached a level that would be unsustainable to absorb.

As with other operators including Air Canada, Air Transat, Porter Airlines; Rise Air implemented a temporary fuel surcharge on all flights booked in March.

Effective April 27, 2026, temporary fuel surcharge details:

▪$13 decrease from $230 to $217 per passenger, on routes longer than 150 miles, including flights between Saskatoon / Prince Albert and northern communities, one-way.
▪$6.50 decrease from $154.50 to $148 per passenger increase, on shorter routes, one-way.

This surcharge applies to all flights and all fare types, including discounted fares such as Student, Senior, Stand-by and with regret, the Marsi fares. All seats, for passengers over 2 years old, will be subject to the fuel surcharge.

Service continuity
At this time, Rise Air does not foresee any impact to service levels because of the spikes in the cost of aviation fuel. However, airlines around the world are already beginning to review operations to preserve fuel supplies where possible. Implementing this surcharge allows Rise Air to continue providing dependable service during this period of global uncertainty.

Our commitment to operating a safe, reliable, and sustainable air service for our customers remains paramount.

Adjustment to the fuel surcharge
We will continue to regularly monitor fuel prices and adjust the surcharge in line with the costs.

As you will appreciate, this is a rapidly changing situation, but we commit to you that any further adjustments will be communicated in advance.
