Dan Gold, Director, Communications and Stakeholder Relations: “This is a very special time of year because we work closely with partners and sponsors to make this event special for every child that we visit.
There are more sponsors to be announced, but today we would like to formally recognize the gold level sponsors: Cameco, Graham Construction and Orano, without these major sponsors, Santa in the North would not be able to proceed.
We’re featuring a couple of firsts on this 23rd anniversary of Santa in the North. Firstly, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are sending players to be Santa’s not-so-little helpers. Secondly, Uranium City is getting their own dedicated visit from Santa on December 12.
Traditionally the presents for Uranium City had been delivered by our crew to the community. From 2023 onwards Santa will always visit along with the presents.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Athabasca Basin Development and partners for sponsoring an Indigenous authored book for every child.
Multiple teachers from the Athabasca Basin have told us that for many of the children we visit, this will be the only gift package they receive this Christmas.
Thank you to our sponsors
